Giants of South Georgia

The southern elephant seal is such an imposing creature to witness coasting along the water or hauled across the beach. They can weigh anywhere between 1,500 – and 3,700 kilograms, and with their distinctive trunk-like snouts and a roar to match, you won't want to get too close when exploring a landing site.
