Handshake Deals
Welcome to one of the country's oldest traditional livestock markets, where locals gather on Sunday mornings between 7-10 AM to participate in a bustling trade bonanza. Here, you'll find horses, sheep, cows, and donkeys all up for sale. The negotiations are conducted with a simple handshake between buyer and seller, and they often continue to hold hands until a mutually satisfactory deal is reached. While the negotiations can be intense in the moment, they typically end with friendly pats on the back. It's also an opportunity for the locals to gather, scoff down an oily breakfast pastry, savour a hot cup of chai, and engage in friendly conversations amidst the backdrop of animal scents and the occasional dung droppings.
