I quickly learned that venturing out to explore Bukhara's streets during the day was a recipe for disaster. The scorching sun beats down relentlessly, and the heat can be unbearable. Most locals prefer to stay indoors until the late afternoon when the temperatures are cooler. And that's also when the light is at its best for capturing the city's beauty.
